I think the main problem is in the SVGS itself, some have of them are not cropped and they don’t seem to have a consistent ratio and dimensions. Try to adjust it by cropping them.

Also applying CSS to SVG’s it’s not the same as normal images just to warn that it can have strange behaviours or not apply at all.
Let me know again after readjusting the SVGS or convert them in png images.
You rock! Thank you so much for the quick support. I was able to get them all exported correctly as SVG’s at 36×36.
I’m having one more issue with the alignment not being centered – the icons are floating to the left, rather then centering with the navigation text:

Add the code below in Appearance-> Additional CSS
.main-navigation ul li a {
text-align: center;
}
That should sort it.
