SVG Media library issue

    I have a small issue that I think may be related to the plugin more than anything else.

    I can upload SVG’s via media library easily enough. But when it comes to viewing the library or inserting them into pages / posts there is a bit of an issue.

    For example I have some “SVG Icons” in a folder. The folder contains 38 files. The media library only shows about 27 or 28 of these. The other 10 do not show up. BUT if I search within the library the Icon / image will infact show up.

    I can also confirm that the images are uploaded and added correctly the the library, They can be found with other plugins such as media library folders (including syncing the folder to ensure library has all the files)

    If I know the filename I am after it is fine because I can search and insert it. But If I just want to look through all the previews and click one then I am having a problem.

    Is this something that has come up before? I am struggling to find a solution

    Hi @timeassistant,

    This sounds like it might be to do with another plugin. I don’t think there is anything in my plugin that could selectively display or not display media items. In saying that, it could also be the SVG files themselves… but if they show up when searching, that couldn’t be it.

    I would suggest deactivating all other plugins and reverting to twentyseventeen so you just have the default theme and SVG Support active. Then check your library. Then if all is good, activate each plugin and your theme again, one by one, testing between each to find the culprit.

    Hi @benbodhi

    I’ve checked further and it seems I infact have a WP issue, it was just more noticeable with the SVGs because there 3 sets of 38 icons and there was only about 50 in total showing… But I have since tried it without all the plugins and themes and it turns out that its happening to everything in the grid view. It loads so far and then AJAX seems to make infinite calls.
