Support » Plugin: SVG Support » SVG images not uploading

This plugin is installed and activated, I have tried uploading SVGs into my media library — with no luck.

I just get a broken image icon:

And SVGs are not being uploaded into wp-content/uploads/2020/02/ directory. I have tried to upload my own SVG files, as well as existing (i.e. verified) SVGs that I have downloaded from other sources. Any ideas?

    Hi @kyrstannie

Thanks for using my plugin 🙂

I’m glad you found the issue. Would you mind sharing what it was exactly in case anyone else comes across it? (Even though I suspect it is not related to my plugin).

Please consider leaving a review, I would be super appreciative.

    Hello all,

I am having trouble uploading SVG images to the Media Library in WordPress. A couple of months ago (January) I was using your plugin, and it was working well. But now I try to upload more SVG files and I get the error “1 file could not be uploaded because an error occurred while uploading.” I am making sure that my file starts with: <?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”utf-8″?> <svg xmlns=”; viewBox=”0 0 466.5 …
I am using the theme “Twenty Twenty”
I am also using the plugin Memberpress, I do not know if that has anything to do with it? Thanks for your help!

    Hi @sebasmurgue

Please start your own thread. This one is resolved and no matter how similar your issue may seem, there is too many variable to say it’s the same.

I’d love to help you out, but please open a new topic.

And in the meantime, you can try some troubleshooting by deactivating all other plugins and testing, then if it works, reactivate one by one, testing between to see which one is the culprit. (switching to twenty twenty unmodified is also a step here, but you’re already using it).
