    Hi Stephen,

I checked the documentation, changelog, and this forum but am not seeing an answer to my question.

I know I can turn off chair emails globally. But this client has 15+ sheets, and only wants to shut off notifications for one that they expect will have a high volume of sign-ups for.

Since it doesn’t appear there is a way on a per-sheet basis to do this, could we simply NOT put an email address in the Chair Email field? Obviously that will stop notifications, but I didn’t know if it would kick errors on the back end if the plugin would still be trying to send emails with no address.

Would love to see the option on a per-sheet basis added in the future!

    Thanks in advance!

    Kym

    Hi Kym,

Thanks for checking the documentation and forum first.

You are correct in that there is no built-in way to disable emails on a per sheet basis.

The simple solution would be to create a dummy, or not monitored, email address for your domain, and use that as the contact email for the sheets where you don’t want chairs notified. That way you won’t throw any errors anywhere. The admin sheet form requires an email address, so you have to enter something there that is a valid email address format.

As far as the option to disable chair notification emails on a per sheet (or even per task) basis, that would require additional programming, and additional database fields for either sheet or task to save that info. You could add that to the very long list of feature requests on the appropriate forum of my site, for future consideration.

A fairly big update is coming very soon, as I’m just wrapping up a very large custom development project centered around this plugin and the calendar extension, and that involved me adding a bunch more filter hooks to the core plugins to allow even more modifications by extensions, along with some new features as well.

Thanks Stephen, appreciate the quick response. We can do the dummy email account for now – thanks!

    Kym
