I use “User Switching” on all the sites I develop. It’s important that the users have the rights they need, and nothing more. That may require you to add additional capabilities to additional roles or specific users; a different plugin is used to do that.
Also, the Gutenberg experience can be a bit overwhelming to the average contributor, but we can provide a simpler editor experience by hiding the 35 blocks and any panels they don’t need.
These processes are much easier to complete and verify, when you, as an administrator, just can switch to the selected user profile without having to log out and in, in a separate windows or browser.
I’ve been using User Switching for years, including on a handful of WordPress 6.2 development sites, and to me, it just works ✔
