 * Hello CloudFlare Team,
 * I once again will ask that you consider supporting the CloudFlare WordPress plugin
   on Github. Currently the latest version of the plugin breaks WordPress oEmbed
   support which was introduced in 4.4. On top of that it is clear this plugin has
   not been heavily supported since its release.
 * Over 3 years ago, the plugin was being supported on github and can be found in
   this git repo: [https://github.com/cloudflare/CloudFlare-Tools](https://github.com/cloudflare/CloudFlare-Tools)
 * Although now the plugin deserves the respect to be updated, and placed in its
   own repo.
 * There are many other successful WordPress plugins supported on Github, and two
   great examples are Yoast SEO and Jetpack (managed by Automattic). I imagine many
   CloudFlare clients use WordPress, especially considering the fact that it powers
   25% of websites on the internet. Officially supporting the plugin on Github will
   allow anyone to submit Pull Requests and Issues in an effort to offer the best
   CloudFlare plugin for WordPress. Many of the other unofficial CloudFlare plugins
   could probably be merged into the official plugin, some examples:
 * * [https://wordpress.org/plugins/sunny/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/sunny/)
   *
   [https://wordpress.org/plugins/purge-cache-for-cloudflare/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/purge-cache-for-cloudflare/)*
   [https://wordpress.org/plugins/cloudflare-flexible-ssl/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/cloudflare-flexible-ssl/)*
   [https://wordpress.org/plugins/geotargeting/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/geotargeting/)*
   [https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-denyhost/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-denyhost/)*
   [https://wordpress.org/plugins/use-jquery-cloudflare/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/use-jquery-cloudflare/)*
   [https://wordpress.org/plugins/cloudflare-rocket-loader-ignore/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/cloudflare-rocket-loader-ignore/)*
   [https://wordpress.org/plugins/analytics-for-cloudflare/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/analytics-for-cloudflare/)*
   and so on …
 * I understand there is the concern with actually having a CloudFlare employee
   officially managing the project. Although I think just creating the plugin repo
   on Github and having members of the CloudFlare team review the pull requests,
   will allow the community to pick up the slack in fixing small bugs and improving
   the plugin until the CloudFlare team can decide best on how to manage the project/
   plugin on a longer term basis.
 * This plugin is used by **80,000+** installs. I encourage anyone who manages one
   or more of the 80,000+ installs, or any developers to +1 this thread.
 * Wouldn’t you like to see faster updates, less bugs, improved performance, and
   new features for the CloudFlare plugin, I truly believe CloudFlare officially
   supporting the plugin on Github will be the quickest way to make this happen.

 * [@brandon](https://wordpress.org/support/users/brandon/) Hubbard When you posted
   this, two +1’s were immediately left that hit all of our flags for duplicate
   accounts.
 * It would seem that you opened two additional accounts simply to act as if there
   were a flood of desires for this action.
 * We’re also not 100% sure about the third +1 which we have left published for
   now.
 * Can you explain this?
 * Personally, I’d also like to see more plugins on GitHub, and am frustrated by
   this plugin breaking WordPress embeds too, but let’s not fall into falsifying
   the demand for this please. 🙂

 * Side note, we’ve removed all the replies simply linking here that you spammed
   into threads of other people having various problems with the plugin. Please
   don’t do that.

 * Hi James,
 * I do have two accounts, one I use as my personal account (bhubbard), and one
   as a work account (imforza-bhubbard). The company I work for also has a user (
   imforza) which I and several others have access to as well.
 * I only submitted the message using my single user account bhubbard. Any and other
   +1 and comments were created by other users who did so with their own choosing.
 * With that said I did post the thread in my company Slack for others to read or
   comment on. And since I now have to clarify, I want to make it clear, no one
   in the company I work for was required to +1, or leave comments. The majority
   of our company does use CloudFlare and the plugin, so they do have the right
   to +1 or comment like any others. We are a small company, with 10 employees,
   as 3 doesn’t equal 10, its clear to say they all didn’t +1.

 * [@james](https://wordpress.org/support/users/james/) Huff – In regards to your
   side note, I accept you removing it considering it as spam. But to be clear I
   wasn’t attempting to spam all the threads, I simply added it to the few threads
   that had no valuable input, e.g. generic I’m sad threads, and the one regarding
   the current large bug in 4.4.

 * Thanks for clarifying. I’ve restored the two +1’s that were removed, but considering
   the lack of activity on those accounts besides these replies, we’ll have to keep
   a close eye on them.

 * +1 this thread
 * But 7/8 people said it’s broken with 1.3.20 (WP 4.4.1)

 * So I pushed up a few fixes and updates to the version of the plugin I have on
   github.

 * Hopefully someone at CloudFlare can take a look at it.
