• I’m a plugin developer and want to stay up-to-date about all the support threads for my plugin. WordPress.org provides an RSS link for all support threads but threads sometimes appear in my RSS reader (using Google Reader) with a 1 – 3 weeks delay. I just got an item that’s one week old.

    Does anyone have the same issue? Is this a known bug?

    Also, the link to the RSS feed only appears under the plugin’s “Support” tab when there is at least one thread. That’s quite bad for new plugins.

    I think that’s intentional but that’s a guess on my part. As a work around (which I’m sure you know already) you may want to create at least a “Please post plugin support questions here” just to get that and the email link working.

    It may be me or Google Reader but sometimes I find the RSS a little lagging. Have you tried subscribing to the email link for your plugin support forum?

    Yes, I’ve switched to this now (once I realized how unreliable the RSS feed is).
