Hi @marco4422,
Thanks for the detailed questions. I’ll address each one separately:
- Adding multiple attribute filters
Yes, the Product Filters block can be configured to filter by different product attributes, such as Color and Size. To add a Size filter, you need to select the Size attribute filter in the Product Filters block rather than duplicating the existing Color filter.
- Selecting multiple options before applying the filter
The Product Filters block is designed to update the product results when a filter option is selected. It does not currently provide an option to select multiple checkboxes first and then apply all selections with a separate “Filter” button.
- Adding the Category and other filters again
You can add the Category filter again by simply selecting the Category filter option in the Product Filters block. The same applies to the other available filter types.
If you’re unable to see or add these filters, please record a short video showing the exact steps you’re following and what happens when you try to add them. This will help us better understand what you’re seeing and investigate further.
For more details about how to use product filter you can use this guide”https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-store-editing/customizing-shop-page-catalog/filter-products/
I hope this helps!
Hello, thank you for your answer, I fix te problem. I saw that I have to click inside the filter products block (for example to click in the attribute color filter9 and then they appears all the filter block. If you click in the block editor you can only see th product filters. So I take this topic for a second and third question:
- How Can I set the filter style? I Noticed that you can customize the filter as a typical gutermberg block, and in the preview I can see it, but in the shop page I don’t see this change. In praticoular I have a problem with the typography style, for the Font Size specifically. If I set for example the font to 3 or 4 rem inside the filter text, the text remains little and it only change the space between paragraphs. I try to costumize every point of the filter, in the image (this one https://ibb.co/m3k6jfv) you can see the final set (perfectly rapresent in the widget preview) but absent in the final page (this image https://ibb.co/9kh4ycZk). It may be locked by my theme? I’m using free-Astra theme
- I also tryed the “Classic Widget” plugin, and it works good but it’s not customabile at all. Do you have some guide to costumize that widget?
Thank you,
Best Regards
Hi @marco4422!
Thanks for the additional details, and I’m glad to hear you were able to resolve the initial issue with displaying the filter blocks.
Regarding the typography settings, I tried to replicate the issue on my end, but I’m not able to reproduce it. The typography settings, including the font size, are being applied correctly on the front end when I test them.
This could indicate that the issue may be related to the theme or another customization on your site. To help us investigate further, could you please share the URL of a shop page where the typography settings are configured but are not being applied correctly on the front end?
Regarding the Classic Widgets plugin, could you please let us know what specific changes or customizations you’re looking to make to the filters? Once we know exactly what you’re trying to achieve, we can point you in the right direction.
Please note that general customization of the Classic Widgets/filter appearance is outside the scope of WooCommerce support, but we’ll be happy to provide guidance where possible once we understand the specific requirement.
Hello , thank you for your tips. I try to replicate the widget settings in another theme (2025) and it work properly. That is problably due to my Astra theme that block in some ways the typography dimension. I will ask to the Astra team if it’s possibile to fix that
For the secon question, even if it’s not up to you as woocommerce support, I send 2 screenshot. I mean tha classic widget are really cute but I can’t find a way to customize them, in the same level that the block editor widget panel let you do. It’s just a secondary question, my primary issue it’s fixed. https://ibb.co/mVs4gvf1 https://ibb.co/JwHZrqVh
Thank you, best regards
Hi @marco4422,
I’m glad to hear your primary issue has been resolved!
Regarding your second question, thanks for sharing the screenshots and the additional context.
The classic WooCommerce widgets don’t provide the same level of customization as the newer block-based widgets. The additional styling and configuration options you’re seeing in the block editor are features of the WooCommerce Blocks, and those options aren’t available for the classic widgets.
If you need more control over the appearance or functionality of the classic widgets, it would typically require custom code or customization provided by your theme.
I hope that helps clarify the difference. If you have any other WooCommerce questions, feel free to let us know!
Ok, thank you for all your explanations, they were very useful 😉
Best Regards

Hello, I hope to be in time for another question. How can I set the breackpoint of the products filter widget to show in the same way for tablet and mobile? I would set for tablet the same condition of mobile (to appear the open button), because in the tablet normale view, the widget go to the bottom position and it cover the footer and you cannot use it, It’s also a lot ugly to see. In the mobile screen, the widget became a button and you can open it without any issue. I send 4 pic to show the problem:
Tablet view: https://i.postimg.cc/XvHrKVGw/tablet-view1.png https://i.postimg.cc/MZjnRJW5/tablet-view-2.png
Mobile view: https://i.postimg.cc/nhTrZH1y/mobile-view-1.png https://i.postimg.cc/x8rTgq0s/mobile-view-2.png
Thank you
