 * **When will this plugin support connecting with a GA4 property that is not associated
   with a Universal Analytics property?**
 * With all the emails, deprecation and “data will stop being collected” notices
regarding Universal Analytics, I migrated and created new GA4 properties. Months
later I deleted my Universal Analytics properties after confirming the GA4 properties
were collecting data. This “user error” has rendered this plugin useless.
 * Ever since, I see “Insufficient permissions in Analytics” notices instead of
charts (it looks like all the charts etc. still pull from Universal Analytics).
 * If I disconnect Google Analytics entirely and re-set it up, I can select my GA4
property but I see the notice “You need to connect the Universal Analytics property
that’s associated with this Google Analytics 4 property.” and a required field
to provide the associated Universal Analytics property – which does not exist.
 * I kind of expected this plugin to properly support standalone GA4 properties
by now considering all the encouragements to migrate. I thought I was following
the desired migration path, but now I have no GA data in WordPress. Feels like
   poor UX ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 * Hi [@alecrust](https://wordpress.org/support/users/alecrust/) thanks a lot for
getting in touch. Currently, Site Kit only supports the display of UA(Universal
Analytics) data and not yet GA4 within it’s dashboards. You can find out more
information on this in our [Using Google Analytics 4 (GA4)](https://sitekit.withgoogle.com/documentation/using-site-kit/ga4/)
   guide.
 * Here you will also find our [GitHub issue](https://github.com/google/site-kit-wp/issues/2220)
for further GA4 work so please feel free to follow this for future updates on
   GA4 within Site Kit.
 * You can quickly jump to your Analytics account from the Site Kit dashboard by
clicking on the [Source: Analytics](https://imgur.com/a/arajty6) quick link which
will take you to your account where you will be able to view your GA4 data.
 * This is why the data in your Site Kit dashboard isn’t as you expect with just
the GA4 property connect and will only show the UA data currently. You can add
a UA code to the site and link this to your GA4. You can do this with the [GA4 setup assistant](https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/10312255).
 * We are making good progress on the GA4 reporting but I am unable to give a timeframe
on when this will be implemented but it is on the radar and being worked on.
Hope this helps to answer your question but let me know if I can help with anything
   else.
