 * Regardless of Visual Composer or other plugins, it seems that simply shortcode
   syntax should be filtered from the fields.

 * Simple in concept, not necessarily in execution.
 * Maybe have a preference option initially that just disables auto-populating of
   the description field for advanced users.

 * Since the last updated, Visual Composer is blocked on backend post and Yoast 
   doesn’T let us the possibilities to parameter anything.

 * Good to hear your team are working with VC. Just updated both SEO and VC hoping
   for a fix, but still having to disable SEO every time I want to edit any content
   created using VC. Good luck with the integration, hope it comes together soon
