Support » Plugin: Photonic Gallery for Flickr, Picasa, SmugMug, 500px, Zenfolio and Instagram » Support for the jQuery Cycle Plugin "random" option

  • I am working on a support request for my plugin, Media Library Assistant. One of my customers is trying to implement a Photonic Gallery that shows images in a random order; you can see the support topic here:

    Orderby Not Working

Looking through my code I see that the Photonic build_gallery function requires an array of attachment objects indexed by ID. There’s no way I can see to pass an array in random order from MLA to Photonic. Is that right?

Assuming that’s right, is there any way to pass the jQuery Cycle Plugin “random” option (random: 1) through to Photonic, or could support for this option be added to a future Photonic release?

Given the number of jQuery Cycle options, maybe a generic way to pass options through Photonic to Cycle would be useful.

Thanks for any help you can give me and my customer!
