    Hi

This plugin sounds great. There are dearth of Australian options, and I’ve been disappointed by the alternatives I’ve looked at so far.

    4 quick pre-sales questions:

    1. Does this plugin use the current API for new Fastway customers (Fastway is now owned by Aramex)? Other Fastway plugins are useless because they haven’t updated from the old coloured label system. New Aramex/Fastway clients use the MyFastway system for generating labels, so that is the pricing API to which I refer.

    2. Regarding package size calculations, I assume it calculates multiple items by their volume as well as weight. What if the items are an odd size, like a cylindrical jar, or product in a paper bag that is fat at one end but thin at the other, etc?

    3. Is this plugin actively maintained/developed?

    4. It sounds like, although the code is made free, the service is not. Can you please confirm the monthly cost to run this plugin?

Thank you for your time. Appreciate your answers.

  • Hi

Just a quick reply regarding OZPost and your questions.

    1. We are already looking at the changes made and how they impact the API but we can not answer that questions at this point.
    2. Ozpost calculates dimensions and / or weight and creates cubic rules. As long as the dimensions entered are correct the calculations reflect that.
    3. Yes, since the passing of Rod a new team has taken over OZpost and actively provides support and updates
    4. Correct the plugin itself is free but the service is not. there are two options a quarterly and a yearly option available and you can find prices and all relevant information on the OZpost website.

Also for clarification I am now part of the team that have taken over OZpost.

    Regards

    Thanks Tassos.

Sorry to hear about Rod. Everything else sounds good.

Do let me know RE MyFastway/Aramex API as soon as you can, as this is what we need. With a highly functional shipping plugin for Australia and especially the newer Fastway API, you’ll pretty much have a monopoly.

Do you have an ETA for the Aramex situation? Thanks.

@jason9j have you had any luck with a MyFastway/Aramex plugin?

Hey – no, nothing from any developer anywhere. Aramex Australia themselves appear to have no intention of providing this integration either. Blows my mind, given it is the most basic ecommerce requirement for using a shipping service – tell customers what the shipping cost is.

No one is interested anywhere…probably try to figure something else out.

@jason9j extensionworks have released a plugin now. I haven’t had a chance to test it yet but thought it would be of interest to you. https://www.extensionworks.com/product/woocommerce-myfastway-shipping-plugin/

Thanks for that. Yeah I saw that about the same time you messaged here. Finally, someone sees an opportunity and takes it. I appreciate you taking the time to give me the heads up. Cheers.
