Hi there, i’ve enabled SuperPWA and OneSignal. When i load my site, the notification to subscribe pops up but the notification add to homescreen is gone. Is there any way to address this issue or it is prefix to this settings?
Hello @arilm
Can you please open a new ticket and mention the link to your website so that we can look into it and see what is wrong?
You will find the form below the other tickets here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/super-progressive-web-apps/
Before you do, please make sure you have done the steps mentioned here: https://superpwa.com/doc/setup-onesignal-with-superpwa/?utm_source=wordpress.org&utm_medium=release-note
Looking forward to it.
I have the same issue. Only if I disable OneSignal plugin then I have the correct manifest.json requirement, so if OneSignal is enabled I have no “install option in Chrome 67.0.xxx. I am testing the plugin here: https://fresh-science.com.

No onesignal icon on ios devices (safari or chrome).
Android and laptop, all good.
Hello @topedroazevedo
Thanks for the awesome feedback! Glad to hear that.
Here is the device support for web push – https://documentation.onesignal.com/docs/web-push-overview . As you can see, iPhones does not support it.
For supported devices using iOS, follow this guide and generate an iOS push certificate – https://documentation.onesignal.com/docs/generate-an-ios-push-certificate
This plugin is amazing so far. Most of our clients use WordPress Multisite sadly. From what I can understand, they can benefit from SPWA, but not OneSignal. We’ll give our +1 for WPMU support.
Thanks for the feedback @cuteantonyraj and @magikweb
I can’t give you an ETA now unfortunately, but I can tell you that the message has been received π
I also would like to see the wpms implementation. It would be awesome. Thank you a lot!!! π
So is iOS supported with push notifications? Am not clear from comments and documentation.
Hello @cdevidal,
Currently, iOS won’t support push notifications. See the list of browsers which supports push notifications here.
Is there another kind of notification that iOS and PWA does support? Aside from SMS of course.
Hello everyone,
It might be a silly question, but I would like to know if subscribers get a notification every time when a new post is published, or if I will be able to regulate the frequency.
Or will be able to decide which content will be “pushed”?
As always, thx a lot in advance helping a clueless man π
Greetz,
Rob
Glad to hear that from you @maafwob.
The subscriber’s will only get notification if you check the box upon posts and Publish the post/edit and save the post.
Push notifications can also be pushed based over the user behaviour via OneSignal’s dashboard. That’s the control of push notifications is at your hands. You can decide for which post you need to send push notification.
Hope that will help you more.
