Superhero Needed: posts not categorizing/appearing
-
I’m kindof in a jam.
I want to be able to post items to be previewed/linked on a particular page. I believe this can be done by categorizing before publishing, as this seems to work
for other pages within the site. I’ve noticed that these other pages do
have “templates” applied to them, that are titled things like “Journey,”
“Diary,” and “Team.” Those names may have been arbitrarily applied; I don’t really know.Anyway, it’s not working. I categorize and I publish and although the post will appear in my “recent posts” sidebar on my homepage, it does not appear on the page/category I’ve selected. It has no template set, mind you, and I don’t want to just add content directly into the page’s content box. I want to be able to create new, separate, searchable posts that will appear in chronological, linear fashion
on that one page. These posts would have a little bit of a preview (title… first few sentences) and when clicked would take the user to its own, separate page.I don’t understand why selecting a category works fine for posting to other
pages, but not this one.Any magical advice, oh wise ones?
Massively appreciated.
