With 2022 Gutenberg, it’s possible to build some rather nice layouts with core blocks only.
However, reusing those layouts are not particularly easy. If using a classic non-FSE theme, you can’t add “Patterns” or templates, that you might be used to from other page builders.
BlockMeister enables that feature, and does it really well. It’s easy to add, categorize and insert at block pattern. Patterns are not custom blocks, just, well, groups of core blocks. So you can even safely disable BlockMeister later on, without loosing any content.
Very intuitive to used.
