    Hit there.

I just set up a site, http://www.andystorm.net and right from start it was very slow. I added a theme I had decided on before, hoping that it might help out (Yea I am a total noob here..)

So anyway, it is of course still very slow. I haven't added anything outside the theme and I really can't tell whats making it so slow.

If someone could have a look at it and tell me if there is something to do about it, id appreciate it.

    Slowness/high CPU usage:
    - a poor or memory intensive theme
    - poor or memory intensive plugins
    - your hosts' server is slow

Start with reading this article (and follow the links):

Andy, I took a look at your server. Please open up a ticket with us at DreamHost and ask them to restart your apache service. It looks like you have a hanging process.

    Thanks for the replies.

I dont think the theme is memory intesive really and I have no extra plugins. I will look at those links though.

But I went and did as Mika said and created a ticket. Waiting for reply :)

What might make a process hang? flipping back and forth to fast when changing stuff?

Thanks again for all the help

It wasn't anything you did to make it hang.

You know how sometimes your computer just gets stupid and you have to reboot? Pretty much the same thing, but thankfully we can be WAY more selective on a web server.

Hi, I am facing the same issue with a website I created on WordPress http://www.digitalintelligence.in/. The images take a real long time to load. Can anyone please help me out with the issue?
