suhosin[4652]: ALERT – script tried to increase memory_limit to 268435456 bytes

  • Hi

    I have been trying to fix an error showing on my shared host log files.

    suhosin[4652]: ALERT - script tried to increase memory_limit to 268435456 bytes which is above the allowed value (attacker 'xx.xx.xx.xx.', file 'example.com/wp-admin/admin.php', line 109)

    Its my IP and happens when i log on to wp-admin

    I have done some reading around this and just cant seem to find a definitive answer or best way to approach.

    I do have a few WP sites on the same server. I have 10 MB memory

    I did try to lower a memory limit on 1 site within the WP files a few weeks ago, but can not for the life of me remember which file or where i read it. Sorry.

    Changing the limit did seem to work, but after WP update i think the changes have been overridden

    I am getting OOM errors could this be related?

    My php.ini file is

    ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume (128MB)
    ; http://php.net/memory-limit
    memory_limit = 128M
