Support » Plugin: Ajax Search for WooCommerce » [Suggestion] Set search input minimum font size to avoid ‘zoom in’

  • Resolved frankie.yuen

    Be default when user tap the search field, Safari iOS will ‘zoom in’ for user to input text. But it will not zoom back out so it will make browsing the page awkward. I suppose it’s call viewport auto-zoom.

    Can I suggest to change the minimum font size in your CSS style sheet to avoid unnecessary ‘zoom in’ effect, aka focus in Safari iOS

    Right now I am overriding your CSS stylesheet with below code

    .dgwt-wcas-sf-wrapp input[type=search].dgwt-wcas-search-input {
    	font-size: 17px !important;

    I am not familiar with Android so I don’t know if it will behave the same.

    Please reference here or here or more details here

    Thank you.
    In the next plugin release, I will add a special search mode to improve mobile UX. This mode will already take into account the minimum font size to avoid ‘zoom in’ for Safari iOS.
