Suggestion: Restore TinyMCE | WordPress.org

As I understand it, tinyMCE is limited in WordPress. Somebody thinks it’s a good idea. I don’t.

What I’d like to see is a plugin that would restore the features presently excluded from the WordPress version of tinyMCE. Because I’d like to present my material in the best way possible. I am using blogging to publish, but I am still a publisher.

Have you looked at the plugin “TinyMCE Advanced” and the other tinymce related plugins? https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=tinymce

They are too limited.

The reason WordPress removes a lot of them are that they can be used to make uninformed decisions on visual elements that are better left to the theme (to be better for accessibility and the likes), and remove information overload for many users.

The TinyMCE Advanced plugin restores all the TinyMCE features as they are by default (https://wordpress.org/plugins/tinymce-advanced/), and is intended for power users who want a bit more control over the editor 🙂
