Its a suggestion for WordPress version 5.8

How about if we provide a block in block editor to insert the whole block area we provided in the theme? This way we can insert a fixed design that we have created in that particular widget area using various blocks.

These block areas than can be used as various fixed part of the full site templates, for example header, footer, sidebar, a different sidebar for posttype “post”, a different sidebar for postype “page” etc.

    Thanks
    Hozefa

Sadly it’s a little late to suggest things for WP 5.8 as we’re in Beta stages now. However that does already exist to a degree. The rest is waiting for full theme editing 🙂

Though, if someone is looking for a solution, here is a plugin that can help for now https://wordpress.org/plugins/ghostkit/ , the “Widgetized Area Block” provided in this plugin can insert any widget area as block in content of block editor.

But the cons is that it comes with many other custom features and blocks, that might be the case where we not need them, and that can bring extra script load, that effect site speed. So looking for some other plugin based or wordpress core solution to it.
