Google+ is on our list of future improvements to the Publicize module, but I am afraid I cannot give you any ETA for that new feature.

    Thanks for your suggestion!

We do not have any public list, but you can submit enhancement requests in the plugin repository if you have more ideas, or want to submit patches to the Jetpack plugin:

Some folks might find some additional context helpful.

When Google Plus was first released, there was no developer API to enable any sort of external interaction, such as posting from other programs. A few people created some client browser solutions that essentially gave different UI layouts, but not much more than that.

Subsequently, an API was made available for other programs to talk to G+, however the implementation has quite a few features that make it a little more complex to set up than Facebook or Twitter.

There are already some solutions available for WordPress that use this API, and yes – they currently seem to be a little complex to set up. And the one I’m currently using doesn’t automatically cross-post new blog entries. It does, however, let me click through a relative simple form from within the native WordPress admin interface to get any post I want cross-posted.

Until Publicize includes the ability to publish to G+, you could check out whether the Google+ Interactive Post Creator plugin works for you.

With the release of G+ Publicize on WordPress.com, we are now working on hopefully adding this feature to Jetpack, but I cannot promise that it will ever be in Jetpack nor what a timeline for inclusion might be.
