A quick suggestion. On a multisite network, by default, you can’t upload images or select images from the media library (not sure why you can’t select from the library by default, upload I understand).

I went to the docs of course and found this helpful guide – https://www.imagely.com/docs/multisites-and-nextgen-gallery/ – but as someone that has spent a lot of time providing theme support I know most people will probably assume the functionality is broken and try and request help.

It would be very useful if on the upload screen when using the plugin on a multisite, if uploads are disabled, instead of the import process looking like it’s going on indefinitely and showing 500 errors in the console. There could be a notice displayed that said something like “The network admin has disabled uploads” or something of that sort so it doesn’t even let users try and upload images and lets them know why it’s not possible.

Keep up the good work over there!

  • Hi wpexplorer,

I use a multisite with NextGEN and it works perfectly. I activated NextGEN individually for my sites and uploading to the media library works, as well.

post editing: I also tried network activating and it works that way, as well. I can upload images and select them, too.
