Upon fist use something did not feel right when using your otherwise great plugin:
the 3 menu items on the left and the 3 buttons at the top of the main plugin config page all do one thing: add a code snippet for one of the 3 types of code.
As can be seen on this screenshot.

Wouldn’t it be more useful to have at least the 3 menu items on the left act as a filter to only show a list of each type of code ? (meaning to only show the CSS code snippets if the CSS link is selected on the left menu).

Again great plugin, keep up the good work 🙂

The left submenu follows the default WordPress menu style. For example in the submenu for the “Posts” there is “All Posts” and “Add New”, so people expect the “All Custom Code” and “Add New” links to be found in the submenu.

Filtering the codes sounds like a very reasonable feature. I’ll definitely add a filter like in this screenshot in the next version. Maybe also consider making additional links in the left submenu like “See all CSS codes” and “See all JS codes”.

If you find more suggestions or bugs, please let me know. This really helps me improve the plugin.

That sure would be nice (the filtering options) 🙂

How about some functionality to sort the snippets either alphabetically or by (modification) date ?
I’m naming them with a prefix depending on the kind of things snippet is applied to, like basic WP code blocs/extensions/colors and so on..
The list seems to be ordered by creation date or by the id of the snippet in the database.
This keeps the whole list un-orderly as they were created one after another, not having them all in mind from the start as to put them in in the correct order.

You can already sort the codes by Title and Date. You simply need to click on the table’s header. But I’ll also make the Modified column sortable.

The “word-wrap” modification, the filtering by code type and the Modified column sortable will be a part of the 3.10 version of the plugin, which will be released in about 3 weeks.

If you want to test out the 3.10 version with the aforementioned features already implemented, you can download it from here.
