Suggestion: add option to remove author link

Can you add an option to remove author link?
I see this topic (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-remove-the-author-link/) where the plugin author teaches you to remove, however we need to change the code and when the update plugin will be lost the change.
…or enable child editing of the file template-sab.php
