Support » Plugin: Query Multiple Taxonomies » Suggestion: add option to order by title (asc and desc)

  • Resolved Jeff Cole

I’d really appreciate being able to re-order the results by title.

I can do it by adding &orderby=title&order=asc manually to the url (and thus to the query) so I imagine it might not be difficult to implement.

Maybe there could be an option in the widget settings to add radio buttons to the top of the widget in the sidebar to do this?

Thanks for pointing this out and after I add the arguments &orderby=title&order=asc to the query on the taxonomy template page it works if I want the visitor to have the posts ordered by title ascending.

What I’d really like to be able to do is allow a visitor to change the order of the posts by clicking on radio buttons above the taxonomy drill-down in the sidebar.

I can’t see how I might be able to do this without hacking the plugin 🙁

Indeed, you will have to edit the plugin to achieve that.

Try the Post Sorting Reloaded plugin. It works with this plugin (I just tried it with version 1.3.2, don’t know about 1.4).
I’m talking about the widget portion of it, where the user can choose the sort mode. I’m not sure if the other portion where it sorts posts based on conditions you’ve set in Admin will affect QMT doing its thing…

Post Sorting Reloaded definitely does enough for me (even though ideally it would be good if in drilling down with QMT the sort order didn’t go back to the default). And it’s working in 1.4 FYI. Thanks for that.
