Suggest Additive Search on Multiple Profile Search Form

I have set up 3 profile search forms within the same Members Directory page on Buddypress. Each Form has a different emphasis on search and uses different sets of profile fields for each form. At the moment each search form would result in a filter of the WHOLE members directory separately, independantly. Would it not be a better set up if I could add the results of each search form. So I would do a search on the first form and the results are displayed on the page. Then the second search form is used which further filters the results of the first form. Then the third search form filters the results of both the second and third search results. Thus Additive Search Forms.
