Suffusion home page set up

  • I am a newbie. I would like on the header to have a “home” instead of “page” tag. I want my Hi y”all page to be the home page. And I want to be able to also have pages with a drop down menu to add different topics ie about, links etc. I don’t have a clue how to do this. This is my blog site: http://frognose.com/blog/ If someone could please help me it would be greatly appreciated.

  • There is a full-fledged tutorial here: http://www.aquoid.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=748

Thanks. I have found that helpful, except now I have two “HOME” tags and one goes directly to my “About” page. I want the blog to open to the Home page not the about page. What am I doing wrong?

    Here are some pointers:

    1. To remove the first occurrence of “Home” go to Main Navigation Bar Setup → Main Navigation Bar Look and Feel → Show “Home” page?. Choose appropriately.
    2. To remove the second occurrence of Home follow the instructions in the tutorial and uncheck the page for Home.
    3. To fix the About page link go to Edit Pages, open the “About” page, then uncheck the option “If this box is checked, clicking on this page in the navigation bar will not take you anywhere. “

Thanks so much for your help Sayontan. I have another questions regarding “Home” where I now have text. My blog opens to “Home”.. great, but there is no place for comments. What I am looking to achieve is to have “Home” as a flexible page where I can add additional posts and viewers can add comments. I also want to be able to upload photos…. several at a time… since this is a photography site. Can you tell me how to do this? Also can you direct me to a tutorial where I can learn to upload several photos? Again, thanks for you help. PS: here is my url: http://www.frognose.com/blog
