I am a member of the admin team for a community blog called Technology Bloggers.
Now unless we are about to have tonnes of guest posts, we are having serious trouble with user spam.
The idea of the blog is that anyone and anyone can register and contribute which is great, but today we have had around 20 new registrations (we usually get 2 or so a week) and 3 really spammy posts added.
Any way I can reduce this sort of spam, as the posts can be found in hundreds of other places on the internet, and are not remotely original or useful.
I believe that it is an automated system, and it is seriously chewing up the blog!
