Suddenly nable to Modify existing or add new Products

I have a problem with adding or modifying products in my WooCommerce website. What’s good to know is that both sites are online and taking orders. The bad news is that I cannot add new products or update existing products. 

I was able to add 400+ items for sale on my now broken website, and this functionality broke recently. When launching the Products page for an individual product, I can see all fields and they then disappear leaving only two Tax fields to update. My question is, how do you manage the Product data block in the Products section, where you can add or change product details?

Here are the  troubleshooting steps taken:

Verified all items are green in the WooCommerce Status menu

I’ve taken updates as they come out and have

Disabled and tested all but the current Theme

Flushed page cache

Flushed Object cache

Disabled, tested, and re-enabled all plugins.

Set in wp-config.php - define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '1024M' );

Used a conflict checking tool and disabled the two incompatible plugins
The first two screenshots show the working site. The second two show what I'm seeing in the broken site. I have screenshots but you can't see the contents without logging into my systems. I have all this in a pdf file. Anyway I can upload this ?

System Status Report:
Go to WooCommerce → Status → Get system report → Copy for support, then paste the content into https://gist.github.com/ and send the link.
Fatal Error Logs (if any):
Check under WooCommerce → Status → Logs, and look for any recent entries, especially those mentioning “fatal error.” Paste them into https://gist.github.com/ and share that link as well.

Thank you for your swift response. I’ve also looked at the Apache logs and have been able to directly query the database. I’m trying to replicate the exact query used to extract data for the product data section just to make sure there are no issues there. Appreciate your help !!!!!!

Now, just to confirm—are you currently using the new product editor (Beta)? If so, let’s try disabling that to rule it out. You can do that by heading to: WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → Features Then toggle off “Try the new product editor (Beta)” and check if the issue continues.

Also, disappearing meta boxes are often caused by something on the browser side. Here are a few quick checks that might help:

Clear your browser cache, or try opening the page in an incognito/private window.
Temporarily disable any browser extensions—especially ad blockers or script blockers. In some cases, this alone has brought the Product Data section back.
Open DevTools (press F12) and go to the Console tab to check for any JavaScript errors that might be interfering with how things are loading.

Let us know what you find after trying those steps!

Thank you for the details. From your error log, I can see that your current theme is causing some issues. To troubleshoot further, could you please switch to the Storefront theme, deactivate all other plugins except WooCommerce, and let us know what happens?

Here is what was done to test:

I moved ALL themes to a backup directory and tested the problem. I installed Storefront theme and tested.
The results were the same, which suggests the theme is not the problem.
I did leave debug set to true and activated the Storefront theme.
The current theme is Storefront

I moved all plugins to a backup directory using the linux “mv” command and began testing with only the WooCommerce plugin active.

The cacheing plugin is NOT installed
Tested and the form loaded as expected with no plugins
Installed 3 plugins one by one, and everything worked normally
Moved *.php files from the backup plugins directory, and the Products form loaded as expected
Moved Original theme and it’s parent theme back to the /u01/wordpress/wp-content/themes directory and tested using the original theme.
Reloaded the Products page successfully
Copied the ebook-store plugin back, and it broke my website. Rolled back the plugin, and the site functioned as expected. The last date that the plugin had a timestamp of June 19^th.
Installed and had a problem with the Ultimate Auction Plugin, and backed out that plugin
Installed the Ultimate Auction Pro plugin successfully. Apparently, you can’t have the pro and non-pro versions of the Ultimate Auction plugin installed at the same time. Not sure why that caused a problem this late in the game, but that problem is also fixed.
Restored all other plugins successfully, and the problem has been solved.

Under the screen options tab, the Additional settingsEnable full-height editor and distraction-free functionality. Checkbox returned.

The Product data menu reappeared along with the Regular price and Sale price fields as expected.

Lessons learned are that deactivating all plugins through the GUI may not solve your problem which is what I did. The recommendation is to copy each plugin and/or theme out to another directory and roll them back in and test the broken functionality individually. I did this work on my test site which had the same problem as my production site. I then removed ONLY the ebook-store plugin from my production site, and the problem went away. I’ll forward my findings to the ebook-store plugin developers. Apparently, the update on the 19th obscures the Regular price and Sale price blocks in the WooCommerce Product editing page..

Having been a support engineer, I can appreciate what you did to help me figure this out. I’m new to WordPress/WooCommerce, and with your assistance, this turned out to be a good learning experience and a happy ending. THANK YOU !!!!
