HI Thanks for your reply. I changed it to the defaults and it worked fine.. but then i changed it back to /%category%/%postname%/ and it dosnt work again ?
I read that using permalinks page before thats where i got /%category%/%postname%/ from.
The crazy thing is, Ive had this page “CV” for ages now and its worked fine.. why suddenly now does it change to this 403 forbiden but no other page does this ? I dont want to use the default permaliks as the are ugly
any ideas how i can resolve this one page ?
Im not using any blog at the momet its just pages
Hey thanks again for your quick reply.
Can you explain what this mod_rewrite does ?.. All permissions must be ok because I can view and make changes to any other pages… why just this one.. and why was it ok before ?
I tried deleting the page and recreating a new blank one called CV and it still the same, very strange
HI thanks again for your replies.. The mod_rewrite was enabled.
I fixed the problem.. was my own stupid fault… I created another folder called “cv” in the root of my ftp which had my pdfs in, I thought it wouldnt conflict with the page caled “cv” as i presumed this would be in my themes directory.. is this not right?,. where do pages i create go ?
thanks again for your help and sorry for my lack of experience
From your admin panel you can create ‘pages’ or ‘posts’. If you have something that you perhaps scanned and wanted to use as a ‘page’ you could load it into the upload folder through your ftp (like you would an image) if it’s named as a .jpg or .gif file, or you could upload it directly into a post or page from the admin panel using the add image tool, (again assuming it was saved as a .jpg or .gif file).
