Suddenly experiencing slowness

    I have multiple development WP sites on localhosts, before yesterday, they have no problem in running. But without tweaking anything on the server/database configuration, I’m experiencing slowness in localhost WP’s frontend and backend. It can be so slow that the page won’t load, or would chunk out partial rendering of the page.

    Webmatrix on Windows 7
    Already tried ” define(‘DB_HOST’, ‘127.0.0.1’); “
    Was told to ping localhost:

    Hey curiositykillsthecat,

    Is the website still running slow after disabling all plugins and switching to a default theme?

    The first thing I’d do is run a virus/malware check. If that comes back as clean, do a Ctrl-Shift_Esc and click the Performance tab. Check your memory and CPU usage…if either is excessively high, try rebooting Windows.
