Sudden video embed fails

    Sometime in the past few days embed code for COMEDY CENTRAL, College Humor and NBC sites no longer work. YOUTUBE and FOD work fine

    In Chrome they show only as an empty space with an endless hourglass.
    In Edge they shows a black box with TRY TO REFRESH button which then locks up the website.

    This goes back to all articles over the past year or so which were all working fine a few days ago.

    It was the same a few days ago with 4.7 as it is now with 4.7.1

    It is the same in all themes.
    It is the same with all plugins deactivated.

    Using the video embed button or pasting it in the text window no different.

    Anyone else with this issue?

    Is your site using SSL? I tested on one of my sites and had a mixed content message (and black box) with

    <div style="background-color:#000000;width:520px;"><div style="padding:4px;"><iframe src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/embed/mgid:arc:video:comedycentral.com:4da23138-28b2-43b7-be72-5d27ab81d5c6" width="512" height="288" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="true"></iframe></div></div>

    so I changed http:// to https://, but apparently they don’t support https links.

    You got dat right Steve! Sure enough I got a SSL certificate two days ago.

    Hey Steve. I called Godaddy and they gave me one bit of advice that works with some sites but not Comedy Central. In the embed code add the “s” to the http. It worked with SNL, NBC and MSNBC. But not VIACOM. Viacom is bad news, always has been. Most every other company now put videos up on YOUTUBE but them.
