Sudden ‘Error Establishing a Database Connection’

  • Alright.. well I successfully had WP running at krinj.net/2004design/blog. I moved the database and files to blog.nathanbolender.com and it worked for a little over a month. Then, a couple weeks ago, it just started displaying ‘Error Establishing a Database Connection’.

I checked the wp-config.php file, and even updated the MySQL password on the server. All of the information is correct, but the error still persists. No changed have been made to the server, and it’s running MySQL 3.23.58 and it is some Unix variation (FreeBSD I believe).

Again, the main point is that it was working, and now it is now.

Oh, also, I have another site on the same server running phpBB, and it works fine – so the MySQL service is operating correctly. Can anyone suggest what to do? Thank you!
