 * Hello,
 * I have cross posted some of this under two different topics as they all seem
to be related but decided to start a new ticket anyway.
 * I am unable to change and save any settings.
 * I have this issue on two different hosts. WP Engine and Network Solutions. Considering
that these are one of the biggest in their own ways, the problem is not with
   the host or the db.
 * I realize the frustration of a random issue and your diligence in trying to replicate
   the issue.
 * I will be willing to help if you post a way so that all of us who are encountering
the problems on unable to save the setting can help you isolate the issue.
 * Here is what I know:
I cannot change the setting under Ignore Notifications,
   Scanner Settings, Heartbeat, either.
 * Only Hardening and Post-Hack works.
 * There is nothing in error log.
 * Here is the site info from Network Solutions:
 * Remote Address Header REMOTE_ADDR
Operating system Linux (64 Bit) Server Apache/

 * I know this issue was with me in the beginning a while back, then it went away.
 * It has now come back again.

 * We can do this in two ways, one is to give me access to your website and/or FTP
server so I can investigate this issue manually in one of the sites affected,
or two is to do this step by step communicating our progress in this thread.
 * If you choose the first option then you can send an email here [1] with the credentials
to access the WordPress administration panel or the FTP server of your site,
remember to reference this ticket and tell to forward that email to the development
   team.
 * If you choose the second option then enable the development mode of your WordPress
site editing the main configuration file _(the wp-config.php at the root of your
project)_ and change the value of the _“WP\_DEBUG”_ constant to _“TRUE”_, then
try to change one/more of the settings again. If the error is caused by the plugin
then PHP will report the bug if the development mode is enabled.

 * I fixed the issue with the help of **wn nj**.
 * For reference purpose here is what happened. I found that this error only happens
if the plugin is installed in a website using Multi-Site _(aka. Network)_. Sometimes
the documentation of the WordPress core functions is confusing, and the error
that we are discussing here was caused because I confused the functionality of
   [get_option](http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_option) and [get_site_option](http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_site_option).
And there must be another bug with the update of the settings because WordPress
   also has [update_option](http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/update_option)
   and [update_site_option](http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/update_site_option).
 * I will add the patch for this bug to the development repository so you can replace
the current plugin with the [development version](https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/sucuri-scanner.zip),
do not download that archive now, I would like to polish the code a little bit,
maybe at the end of the day or tomorrow.

 * Yorman, you are my man!
 * Thanks for your prompt attention.
 * I can wait for the fix.
 * Be well and happy new year!

 * Hello, we released version _“1.7.6”_ two hours ago, this update contains several
bug fixes and hopefully one of them, specially this one [1], will fix the issues
that were discussed in this ticket.
 * Let me know what do you think so we can mark this ticket as resolved, or to continue
investigating the issue for the next version.
