I’m getting the same behavior, as of today.
Is there going to be a fix for this? The fix you posted previously does not apply to the new version, nor do the fixes you have proposed. Can you tell me where to get the API Key? Or how to fix this error above?
I have deactivated the plugin for now.
I just updated from 1.6.0 to 1.6.9. Tried to get an API key and got the error:
Register_site: Unable to store event (log not found).
I’ve used the plugin on many other sites and have not had a problem. Going to have to disable it for now.
Hey Guys
Yup, there will be a fix. Pinging the dev’s to see what’s up.
Thanks
Hey Guys
This should be fixed in 1.7.0 please let us know if it’s not.
Thanks
Here we are 10 months later. Just installed 1.7.1 on a new site (hosted at wp-engine though) and I’m getting that error. Any ideas what could cause it?
Hosting set-up related? Htaccess or php.ini file change recommendations? Limitations on publishing to directory perhaps?
@broekmancomm the reason for this error depends on the type of account you have with Sucuri, if you have a subscription it is probably that you tried to use a previous API key associated with the old API service, keys from that version are not compatible with the new one.
If you do not have a Sucuri subscription then it is possible that you either tried to activate the plugin with a key that does not exists, or a key that was somehow invalidated by the system itself.
Use the button “Recover” located in the plugin’ settings page to send a request to the API service asking for a copy of the key associated with your site and email address, if the data is correct you will get this information in your email, if the data is incorrect then you will have to generate a new key.
