    After successfully importing 800 download products using this plugin, I decided to use the Amazon S3 plugin. I have uploaded all my download files to S3, and configured the S3 plugin. My plan is to test the csv import with a few items, then delete and trash ALL my existing downloads, and then import all 800 items again.

    HOWEVER, my test import is giving me a “IMPORT SUCCESSFUL” message, but no items are imported. I even looked at the database (using phpMyAdmin) after the import and I see NO new records in the posts or posts_meta tables.

    I am confused!

    The products are not imported or the files from S3 are not connected to the imported products?

    The products are not imported. There are no new download posts either in my WordPress control panel, nor in the database when I look for them there (post_type=”download”).

    Boom! Solved it. I knew it was something systemic … as if the plugin did NOTHING at all!

    I changed permissions on /wp-content/ to 777 because that’s where the input data file is saved.

    An error message would have been APPRECIATED!
