Hi Joe,
Can you show me a live example? It’s hard to help without seeing the issue. Thanks a ton.
Oh. Sorry. Forgot to include the blog link.

I’m looking around for what might be cutting it off in the theme settings, at the moment, too.
Thanks. This is a weird one. If you switch to a new theme and you do not see this problem, then this is a theme issue. Do you see anything in your theme’s files that related to auto-truncating your titles? Which theme are you using?
Good questions, and I THINK you are right that it is theme. Just found it odd, so checking here first (plus, you have answered quicker than the theme fella in the past).
Theme: Customizr
I can actually make the issue go away by changing the settings on the theme to a more list oriented layout (one that doesn’t make the content excerpt overwrite the picture, but instead show up next to it). I think it’s a problem that this feature is designed to use 3 or 4 columns. The reason I’m REALLY confused, though, is that the theme doesn’t even really know the subtitle is there. How would it have code to truncate it?
I’m downloaded the current theme files right now, and I will grep for “substr” (that’s the PHP function that would be used, no?).
It seems like the theme developer recently worked on a fix for the theme to work with my plugin (see this). Can you ask them about this to make sure? I’ve acked through the theme for the_title and it is indeed doing a lot of filtering of the title, and if you switch to a different theme and see the issue go away then this is definitely a theme issue.
Hey – Sorry. I did. From the theme side, there was a max length setting in the theme customize area. I just hadn’t managed to find it. Thanks!
Great! I’ll mark this resolved and close it out but please feel free to open another thread if you run into any other issues.
Cheers,
Philip
