Jetpacks Blog Subscription Widget works fine, but the mails it sends to subscribers are just a lot of code. The link in the mail DOES work, so that’s nice, but it’s not very enticing to click on, with all the messy code in the mail. Jetpack’s Facebook-publisher DOES publish a pretty post on Facebook. So why can’t the subscription widget do the same in mail?
I can’t find others having trouble with this, so possibly it’s something to do with my setup. I use X-Theme with a child theme (some unrelated -afaik- cosmetic things); all up to date obviously. I edit my posts with X-Theme’s Cornerstone. Could that have something to with it?

I hope someone can help me out! 🙂

-Don’t know if this helps, but below is a good impression of the e-mail content (except that is has a standard avatar and WP-banner above it)

    Jetpack Mechanic 🚀

That’s indeed a known issue: the shortcodes created by your theme are not supported in Jetpack Subscription emails. You can read more about it here:
    https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/869

However, adding the More tag before the shortcodes should help. Could you give it a try, and let me know how it goes?

Hi Jeremy, thanks for your reply!
Unfortunately I have been a very impatient boy (I had been looking for solutions for some time prior to posting thw issue here) and decided to do away with Jetpack’s subscription altogether (still using other Jetpack elements to full satisfaction, mind yoy).
I now use a subscription form included in X and have set up a MailChimp account to manually mail all my subscribers when I post a blog -I post once a week at the most and have set up a mail template, so that isn’t much of a hassle.

Once again, thanks for your reply; hopefully others with the same problem come across your suggestion and try it out!
