# Subscription Issues v3.0.1

 * When attempting to click the green button in the comment notification bar, it
   takes me to a page with a “0” on it:
    [http://www.mydomain.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=addSubscription](http://www.mydomain.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=addSubscription)
 * Also – are users automatically signed up for subscription when they post a comment
   now? If so, users are not being automatically notified of follow ups. If not,
   then it’s not intuitive for visitors. It looks like no matter what, a visitor
   who leaves a comment would be “subscribed” – and many of my site visitors will
   NOT want to get additional e-mails unless they specifically choose to. This will
   turn them off from even wanting to leave a comment.
 * Is there a way to remove the notification bar “for all site visitors” and enable
   it for visitors who leave comments? As it is, in order to enable subscriptions
   AT ALL, that notification bar has to be visible at all times, which takes up
   more space than I care for. It would be great if it could appear in the pop down
   form once the user clicks in the comment box. That would save some space. None
   of my site visitors are going to subscribe to comments on a page, unless they
   themselves are commenting. If this were possible, it may also alleviate visitor
   anxiety regarding e-mail subscriptions.

 * PS – If I didn’t make it clear – subscriptions do not currently work AT ALL.
   No one is getting notified that they have been subscribed, and no one is getting
   followup notifications. And no one is able to enable subscriptions.

 * Update from gVectors Team:
 * Subscription sign up does not work for logged-in users. It is working for users
   who have not logged in.

 * Issue #1: Ok, subscriptions are now working properly. Thank you! PS – The e-mails
   are coming with the correct name and from address!! THANK YOU!
 * From my original post, what about…
 * #2: back end option to enable/disable automatic subscriptions for new users.
 * #3: back end option to enable/disable the notification subscription bar for “
   all site visitors” (above comment form) AND option to enable/disable a notification
   subscription bar to the form pop down area (above the “post comment” button)
   for users who click inside the comment box. (This is useful for minimizing the
   vertical design of the comments area).

 * So you what an option which can subscribe users without even letting them know
   prior? We’ll add this on our to-do list.

 * This was a feature in v2… I’m not actually sure that I like it, but I can see
   my site owners requesting this. It seems like the way it was in v2, you could
   set it as a default, and then the user would get a subscribe notification e-mail,
   without the user having to take an extra step of manually subscribing. This could
   be useful.

 * Ok, let me clarify: I’d like to see the checkbox for “Notify of new replies to
   this comment” replaced with the comment subscription bar. It’s great that users
   can be notified of replies to that particular comment. But I’d rather have the
   user’s entire list of subscription options moved to this area, in place of that
   checkbox. This was also a built-in feature of v2. The subscription options were
   hidden BELOW the comment area. A link for subscription options was shown (pop
   down on click) to users who had clicked to type in the comment box and then the
   subscription options were only shown (pop down further on click) when the user
   clicked on that link. This was great, because it minimized the vertical design
   of the comments area, which is a selling point of the plugin.

 * We can add this feature in near future releases.
 * Ok, I see what you mean. The main reason we’ve moved those two subscription options
   to top bar is making wpDiscuz much more light and faster. As you can see, those
   options are not depends on certain comments. And we had to show those HTML lots
   of time in comment list. This was very heavy part in wpDiscuz 2. And this is
   very good optimization point in wpDiscuz 3.
    Also people could not subscribe
   to “all comments” and to “all replies to their” comments without making some
   comment, that was another very bad part of 2v UX. These two reason are very important,
   so we can’t revert back that. Hope you see what I mean.

 * Also please remove this CSS from style.css file
 *     ```
       #wpcomm .wpdiscuz-subscribe-form-option{
           width:80!important;
       }
       ```
 * This value is dynamic for logged in and non-logged in users. It becomes 40% for
   guests, cuz there is another [email] field. Now it looks bad for guests.
 * LOL! I’ve been testing random things to minimize the vertical design. I was just
   learning about the dynamic widths when you posted this 🙂
 * I do understand your reason for not being able to revert. But minimal vertical
   design is a major selling point for my site owners, and they will not be happy
   that in order to accommodate a previous feature, we have to increase that vertical
   design.
 * Since it is not possible to add subscribe options to the pop down (above the
   post comment button), rather than above the entire comments section, I am diligently
   testing alternatives to shrink that vertical design any way I can.
 * Actually, I wish that instead of a subscription bar, there was a link in the
   logged in user line (“currently logged in as”) that said “Comment Subscription”–
   which, when clicked, would pop down the subscription bar, but it would otherwise
   stay hidden. That would be an ideal work around, too.
 * Ok, I see what you want. We’re currently working on some core functions, to allow
   people upgrade from v2 to v3 w/o comment optimization process. After releasing
   this important version we’ll take a look on this for sure.
