    Hi there,

My subscribers are not receiving my new posts. I am using Jetpack’s Publicize, and I do receive a copy to my inbox, and they’re going through to Facebook (although not with an image, which is annoying). I’ve checked my settings, and all looks to be working correctly.

    My website is http://www.kiwiearthmother.com

I look forward to any advice you may have.

    Many thanks in advance,
    Sharon

I checked your Jetpack settings, and it seems that you don’t have any Jetpack Subscribers yet. You’re the only subscriber at the moment.

You can follow the instructions here to access your list of Jetpack Subscribers:
    http://jetpack.me/support/subscriptions/#view-your-email-subscribers

The Subscription form you’ve added to your sidebar comes from another plugin, Subscribe2. You’ll consequently want to contact that plugin author if you experience issues with their plugin.

If you’d like to use the Jetpack Subscription form instead, you can do so by activating Jetpack’s Blog Subscription widget under Appearance > Widgets in your dashboard.

    Thanks for your email.

I’ve actually been using the Jetpack subscribe widget and publicize since I started up my blog. It was only yesterday that I deactivated Jetpack subscribe. I’m a little confused though – I have 10 subscribers (plus two of my own I did as tests) – I assumed they came through Jetpack? WordPress would notify me of each new subscriber (I started getting between 1 and 2 a day, signed up with MailChimp, and then they all stopped. I therefore deleted my MailChimp account, and started receiving subscribers again. But subscribers weren’t receiving my new posts, so I switched to Subscribe2 yesterday, although I’ve yet to test whether my new posts are received by my subscribers.

I did like the idea of using Jetpack for everything, but unless I can find a way of getting it all working correctly, I guess I’ll have to stay with subscribe2.

I really would love to know though, how I got my 10 subscribers (notified to me via wordpress each time), if they didn’t come through Jetpack?

Jetpack Followers and your site’s subscribers are indeed different. You can read more about the differences between the 2 here:

Jetpack doesn’t have any control over your site’s subscribers and won’t send them subscription emails since they didn’t subscribe through Jetpack.

If you want to disable user registrations on your site, you can do so by going to Settings > General in your dashboard.

If you add the Blog Subscription widget to your sidebar I’ll be happy to subscribe to your site and see if things work properly. Right now, I don’t see anything that would stop Jetpack Subscriptions from working properly.

Thanks so much for the explanation – it all makes sense now! Subscribe2 automatically assimilates the entire list of subscribers, so I think I’ll stick with them for now.

    Thanks again for the information.
    Regards,
    Sharon
