having the same exact error! Its driving me crazy, even tried rolling back to an older version. Guessing this wont be fixed until later in the month when jetpack support is back too 🙁
Hello,
I have the same problem, my 400 subscribers are not notified of new articles and new do not receive the confirmation email ….: o ( <
I tried to reinstall an older version but it cut me admin access ….

here’s the weird part for me. I have another author account on my site, and when that user makes a post, the newsletter is sent. When I post, nothing.
I’m having the same issue – one site is sending e-mails, while the other is not. I have 30,000+ subscribers….. http://lessonslearnedinlife.com
Ditto. Additional information–there are now three columns on the subscriber list:
Team (people authorized to post, etc. I assume)
Followers and Email followers
I don’t know what the significance or distinction between the two is, but I suspect it’s possible that the followers don’t get the email of posts.
I guess we won’t know until the Jetpack staff returns after the 26th.

I really dont get how the entire team takes off for all this time. Couldnt they leave a couple people on to fix major issues?
I’m having the same problem and am not a techy, so hoping the problem gets fixed in an update soon. It’s been 2 weeks now.

@trbelt88: Thanks for the report! I had a look at your site, and Jetpack appears to be properly connected at the moment. Are you still experiencing trouble? If so, could you provide me with the exact steps that result in the problem?
For everyone else, could you please start your own thread, as per the Forum Welcome?

These issues will need to be investigated individually, so creating a new thread will help us make sure that we address each one.
Thank you!
Hi @ryancowles,
We upgraded to the most recent version of jetpack. Since then, subscribers aren’t getting notification emails when a new blog is posted. To see if it was only happening to old subscribers, I tried subscribing with a new email address and I never even get a confirmation email (I checked the junk/spam folders too). The feature is enabled so I’m not sure why that’s not sending out. I don’t have any of the plugins enabled that are known to cause issues with Jetpack. I did notice, that the jetpack dashboard isn’t loading any statistics in my wordpress admin dashboard. In order to view the site stats, I have to click “view more stats on wordpress.com” in order to see them, or click “View old stats”. In addition to all of this, When trying to enable certain features through the jetpack dashboard, I get the following error message: Protect failed to activate. SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data. Let me know if you need more information.
Thanks you!

@trbelt88: Can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site? To do so, follow these steps:
1) Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
2) Scroll down to the bottom and click “Debug”
3) Click the link that says “Click here to contact Jetpack support.”
4) Fill in your name, email address, and the description box with a link to this thread.
5) Click the “Contact Support” button.
Then we’d be happy to look into this further. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
@ryancowles thank you! I’ve followed your steps and look forward to any insight you can provide.
