Subscribers are redirected to homepage when accessing bp pages

For some reason, when subscribers try to access certain pages, there’s a redirect to the homepage. Those pages show perfectly fine with my Admin account. (They are the Buddypress Members page and the Buddypress Groups page.)

I do use code that restricts nonmembers from accessing buddypress and bbpress pages. The code redirects nonmembers to the login page; however, even after removing that code to test the problem, subscribers still can’t access those pages and are redirected to the homepage.

I’ve written in the Buddypress forum but haven’t gotten a response, so I’m hoping someone here might have a solution.

I’m using WordPress 4.3 and Buddypress 2.3.3
