    Hi there,

    I would love it to be guided to what I missed in the setting.
    I installed the plugin Post Notif on terouma.net and activated it. I registered myself on the front end with a valid email address and was advised I would receive a confirmation email that never came.

    I re-tried just in case I would have mistyped my own email address (the kind of thing I am able to do :-0 ) but the system confirmed I had already registered and no need to do it again.

    Another of my readers registered.

    I can see both of our email addresses in the manage subscribers menu in the admin of Post Notif, and it indeed shows that we are not confirmed.

    I created a post, published it, and sent a Post Notif. And did not receive anything.

    And this is where I am now stuck. Because I do not know what is wrong in the settings OR if nothing is wrong with the settings if I have to do something with my host, and if so, I would love it to know what it is in plain English!

    Hi Otir,

    Thanks for trying out Post Notif. I am sorry you are having trouble getting the emails (both confirmation and post notification) sent.

    I attempted to subscribe to your site’s posts, as well, and did not receive a confirmation email. Since my host filters ZERO spam (or anything filters might be tempted to classify as such 🙂 ), I am guessing you have a problem where the server, upon which your site sits, will not send email from the account you’ve configured Post Notif to use (Settings >> Post Notif >> Email sender email address).

    Have you confirmed that you can send emails (using an email client of some sort) from the email address you’ve configured Post Notif to use? If so, I’d suggest changing the plugin configuration to use another email address to see if your results are different.

    Hi Devon!
    Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my issue.

    I followed your advice and changed the email. I resent an email and my test address did receive it. I resent it to you too. (and noticed that I had other settings I had missed, so that was enlighting)!

    It works perfectly well, thank you very much, I believe I am going to be very happy with this plugin.
