    Hi there,

    I am trying to figure out if it is possible to capture a person’s first and last name through this widget along with their email. The easiest work-around would be if even if I was just able to change the form field to say “First & Last Name” instead of “Username.” That way their username could just be their first and last name. I am VERY limited in my coding ability – does anyone know how to make this happen? Or do you know of another widget that would allow you to capture name and email address instead of just a username, which can be anything?

    Thanks.

  • @mikehamilton63,

    In order to make this happen there would need to be changes in the form code, the processing code that handles the submission from the form and also the database table where the information is stored.

    Not an easy job and since this information is not used by the plugin code it’s not something I’m going to add in the future.

    I’m not the right person to ask about other plugins. I code Subscribe2 for my sites in a way I’d like it to work so I don’t look at the other options to see what they offer.

    can please someonw answer about after clicking the confirmation link on the mail,it asks for first name ,last name,phn no. but there is nowhere the data displayed. I want to use that data..
    Please answer this?

    @nits_wp,

    Subscribe2 does not asked for these details when a user enters their email address into the Subscribe2 form, and then clicks on the link in the resulting email. Are you sure it’s not another plugin?
