    Hi Matty

    Hope you well.

    I am using version 8.2 Subscriber2 HTML. I am trying to style the digest email template and am uncertain about a few things.
    My code is `<table width=”600″ border=”0″ align=”center” cellpadding=”0″>
    <td><a href=””><img src=”image.jpg” width=”580″ height=”62″ border=”0″ /></a></td>
    <table width=”600″ bgcolor=”#ac9c47″ border=”0″ align=”center” cellpadding=”8″>
    <td width=”300″>{IMAGE} </td>
    <td width=”210″><p>{TITLE}</p>
    <td colspan=”2″><p>You may view the latest post at <a href=”#”>Subscriber2</a></p>
    <p>You received this e-mail because you asked to be notified when new updates are posted. If you wish to unsubscribe – <a href=”#”>click here</a> <br />
    <br />
    Best regards, <br />
    Matty </p></td>

    However when I send a preview it does not preview as I styled it. Also I need to add a read more… at the end of each post which links to the post. Lastly how may I send an automated {DATE} at the top instead of a date for each post as the digest is sent once a day and the date only needs to be shown once in the email, not for every post.

    The first thing that is apparent to me is that you say you are sending digest emails but you are using {TITLE} and {DATE} in your template, both of these keywords are only for per-post emails. Equally, I suspect you are trying to link to the post with {PERMALINK} and again this is for per-post emails only.

    In the Subscribe2->Settings page under the Templates heading the keywords are listed to the right of the templates with a brief description and also details of where they can be used.

    Hi Matty, thank you for your response.

    {TITLE} appears when I send a preview, {DATE} only appears when I add {TIME} next to it. Yes I did try Permalink.

    What about the layout where the {IMAGE} is on the left and the {TITLE}{POST} is on the right of the image?

    Sorry, perhaps I’m not being clear. You do not have the level of control you are trying to achieve when you are using digest based emails as the code cycles through all the posts and generates post related output independently of the template.

    You can wrap styling around the total output but you cannot insert styling within the output to style individual elements or alter the layout.

    Thanks Matty.

    sorry to but-in but i have Subscribe2 HTML and i am not sure how to customize the email. I really only want to add a single image to be used as a header in the HTML emails that are sent when i create a new post. This is different then sending the featured image from that post.

    How do I create a header (or add) for the HTML template?

    I appreciate your help.

    Hi Scott

    You would need to purchase subscribe2 HTML.
