 * I have been using Subscribe2 for a little while and it is the ideal subscription
   manager for my purpose. I have updated my blog with a new theme that i purchased
   which has a scrolling ‘breaking news’ in the header. This did not work and the
   author told me to disable plugins as there was likely to be a conflict of javascript.
   I did this one by one and unfortunately it is subscribe2 that prevents the scroll
   from working. I appreciate that this is not to do with your excellent plug in
   but is there any way around this – other than abandoning the theme that I have
   purchased?

 * Subscribe2 does not use very much JavaScript, do you use the AJAX popup in Subscribe2?
   Other than the AJAX form the only javascript is in the form to simply clear the
   text, this can be removed by including the noes parameter in the shortcode like
   this:
 * [subscribe2 nojs=”true”]
 * Beyond that it might be worth having a link to your site so I can see what you
   mean.

 * Many thanks for your very prompt response. I have disabled the AJAX form and
   the theme is now working correctly! I presume that there is not a disadvantage
   to disabling AJAX?
 * Impressed by your support!

 * [@smbrookes](https://wordpress.org/support/users/smbrookes/),
 * Disabling AJAX means the popup won’t be available to your users who are signing
   up. The plugin was coded and worked fine long before the addition of the AJAX
   popup so provided you are set up correctly it’ll work just fine. Make sure to
   give it a test yourself to be sure.
