    Hi @sanerdesign ,

Thank you for reaching out, and I’m sorry to learn of the difficulties.

For me to understand and learn more about your setup, could you provide the versions of the following?

    1. PHP
    2. WordPress
    3. The Events Calendar
    4. Theme and Version

    Hi @sanerdesign

It seems the “Error logs” that you’re seeing are related to the Event log. Could you ensure that the Event log is disabled from Events > Troubleshooting, and check if that makes a difference?

Let me know how it goes.

When I click on the Google link to subscribe to the calendar it adds it to Google but no events appear. The same goes for Outlook and iCalendar

There could be a plugin/theme conflict on your end, could you try running a conflict test? I’d suggest running the test on a staging version of your live site. Also, please ensure that you have the latest version of the plugin.

Let me know how it goes.

@d0153 Thanks for getting back to me. OK So I went through and changed the theme and deactivated all plugins and it worked. I then reactivated the theme and all the plugins one by one and it still worked. Then after a day or two it stopped working again.

The staging site is here and when I stopped working on it it was currently working https://dcharlottestg.wpengine.com/calendar/

Is there any chance that WPEngines aggressive caching could be causing an issue? or can you think of a reason why deactivating and reactivating everything would get it working temporarily?

    Thank you

    Hi @sanerdesign

You may be right on this one. Could you try clearing your cache from your WP Engine’s User Portal and check if that makes a difference?

If that doesn’t help, try disabling Object Cache as well and check if that helps.

Let me know how it goes.

@d0153 OK I tried the cache theory and that didn’t fix it.

So I decided to take a look at the ics file that is generated for the webcal link. There is a lot of whitespace before the ical information starts. If I try and import that as an ical file into google it refuses it. If I delete the white space and try to import it again it accepts it. Do you know why this whitespace is being created and is there a way we can add a function to remove leading whitespace?

@sanerdesign If you haven’t done it yet, could you try to configure your WP Engine cache as described in our knowledgebase article and check if the issue persists?

If it doesn’t help, try using only our plugins and a default theme for a day or two, and check if that makes a difference.

@d0153 Thanks for the feedback. I have found the plugin that is causing the extra whitespace. WP Simple Survey – Extended which is no longer supported and so we will find an alternative. However if I deactivate that plugin it still doesn’t work. I have followed the caching rules for WPEngine but still nothing. The staging site is now a default theme and just the events plugin. I will leave it like that for a couple of days and report back

    Hi @sanerdesign

Thanks for your response. I tried subscribing again to your calendar, and it seems it is now working as expected. Does the issue persist on your end?
