• Hello.

We are running WP 3.4 and use the “subscribe to comment” feature (Version 2.1.2). One of our subscribers submitted a comment stating that he subscribed and now received 4 emails every time someone else submits a comment.

I don’t know the “subscribe to comments” plugin very well, and frankly never had the problem before. Furthermore, I cannot find the person in the list of “subscribers” (wordpress – tools – subscriptions).

I’m wondering about the functionality of the plugin. Under the subscription site, it says “Find Subscriptions: Enter an e-mail address to view its subscriptions or undo a block”.

When I enter an email address and click “Search>>” the page reloads and nothing happens, no matter if I enter an existing or not existing email address.

    Thank you
    T

  • Hello,

One of our subscribers is having the same problem, receiving multiple emails for the same comment. Have you been able to resolve this issue?

    Thank you,

It’s elaborate spam — look again at the email address etc.
You can savely ignore it if it’s the same problem that we had.

Thank you for the heads up. It doesn’t appear to be a spam message though. Please see below:

“When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get three emails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove me from that service? Bless you!”

But, as far as you know, there is no issue with subscribers receiving multiple emails of the same comment?

    I appreciate your help.

What email address does the user use? Is he actually subscribed to your blog? Check in the subscriptions tab – that is how I found out it was spam: the email address wasn’t even subcribed to my blog. Does he use a website? Does the website exist, or is it some porn or medication website?

If it is a valid user, I cannot help you, sorry.
