    Hi!

I'm new around here but have been using wordpress just for blogging for years but now I'm trying to work on my own theme.

I've discovered this page-to-link plugin that works a treat.

I've got stuck on how to list pages and subpages the way I desire, described below:

Type 1 (Index.php, About Us page, etc I want the list to look like so)
    > About Us
    > Portfolio
    > News
    > Contact Us

Type 2 (When in any section beneath portfolio shows the tree of portfolio)
    > About Us
    > Portfolio
    >> Print
    >> Web
    >> Branding (page with description of skill set)
    >>>Branding Projects (page link to category)
    > News
    > Contact Us

Type 3 (The list if you're in the news section)
    > About Us
    > Portfolio
    > News
    >> Latest (page link to category)
    >> Press Releases (page link to category)
    > Contact Us

Ok now I have a few angles on how I in my juvenile understanding of wordpress would do this:

    1. Create templates for both pages and categories that have the 3 different versions of the menu handcoded in and assign them as needed. (means my client couldn't really change the menu structure easily and seems like the defeatist solution)

    3. Using custom attributes to tell which menu to use for whichever page (but then means I can't use page-to-link categories any more.

    2. Somehow use a plugin or an improved script that looks up the parent page and then builds the menu accordingly (I have no idea how to)

    4. Use CSS to hide depths I don't want to show (but I don't think you can separate items in different nodes for a particular depth.)

Do you have any ideas on how I might achieve what I'm speaking of above? Or at leas recommend a good Plugin that works well (I've found a few haven't worked after following their directions and they had no example for me to aspire to).

    Any help would be appreciated!

Can at least direct you to review examples in the template tag, wp_list_pages(), and get_pages articles.
