    So the issue I'm having is it seems woocommerce is disabling the subnav menu bar on pages like the products page. You can see this at http://akahenry.com/shop-2/. Directly above where it says "all products", it should have a subnav menu, like this page does: http://akahenry.com/shop-home/. So my first question is how to fix this, I just want to restore my secondary navigation menu.

    Oh! I found the solution! I realized the issue was because I'm using the genesis framework, which somehow doesn't work very well with woocommerce since it uses child themes. The solution is a plugin called genesis connect for woocommerce, and it's perfect! It fixed the nav bar, and even makes woocommerce compatible with genesis simple menus, which I am using.
